aww mans enrichment week is almost over. and it was just starting to get fun. lotsa things happened this week! tuesday we had farm ride. we went to lim chu kang area then to get our bikes. haha kinda remind me of my project work days where we were trying to walk around to look for high-tech farms. but anyway our group 2 instructor very friendly and sociable. then we all kept joking around. we visited 3 farms actually. first was to see cows. the farm kinda stink from the smell of the cow dung but it was fun looking at the cows eat. and i was trying to make cow jokes all the way in the farm. haha white cows produce fresh milk. brown cows produce chocolate milk =D haha okie enough of the cow jokes. next was a frog farm. i think by farm this is the most interesting one. we had up close encounter with frogs and feeding them. but it was full of mosquitos so its not exactly very comfortable. but the last part of the farm was supposed to be the most 'memorable' one la. its truly memorable la. its the part where they show us how they cut up the frongs. its was bloody but at least the frog died fast la. haha then when the person ask our group instructor to try, the frog damn sad la. he had to chop 3-4 times before the frog actually died. my god. imagine being cut at the neck area but not enuff to fully knock u out. then got a lot of screaming from the audience. last was the wheat grass farm . lucky they got provide nice refreshments after a long day of cycling. butt was so pain after that day la from cycling. but i think it was really fun la.
thursday i went for food trail. we had to rate 2 types of food, nasi lemak and yong tau foo for the 6 places we go to. some places nasi lemak v nice la. especially the rice. but after the like 4th stop all of us were like either quite full or sick of eating the same food over and over again. imagine eating nasi lemak 5 times! (we skipped the last stop) we came back to school tired and bloated. enough. i've probably seen enough nasi lemak and yong tau foos to last me quite some time le. after that we went to settle some pa camp stuff, going here and there ordering this and that. but at least we settled it chop chop.
friday was by far the fun-est and busiest day! early in the morning had this arts education program which had a very very very zai dance la! my god they were superb la! i suddenly like dancing haha but i know i cant dance very well either. later had cheer leading which i think was excellent. we did a lot of stunts and i felt a very big sense of accomplishment! first stunt i paired up with pong and we had to support the girl on our hands. then after that she had to stand up la. since it was the first stunt we were learning it took quite long to master it cos some of the girls quite scared of standing up cos they are afraid to fall down. but actually i think its quite ironic. cos they had to stand up straight not to fall down. if they sit down with us pushing them up i think they will fall backwards. next stunt was easier cos the girl had to jump to our shoulders and sit there. at first i was quite scared the impact will be very big but after doing it it wasn't that bad la. can say its the easiest of the stunts. i think the girl i supported (phoebe) got quite worried after i let her sit on my back and i jumped around a little sorta like a roller coaster ride haha. next was standing on my shoulders and this was slightly more difficult cos have to balance more. but it was painful for my shoulders. after that mr tay decided to do a simple pyramid with all of us. it was a 3 level pyramid so people had to support people supporting the girl. quite a number of failed attempts before we actually suceeded la. plus pong had a very nice shoe print on his ignis shirt when one of the girls fell and gave him a boot in the chest haha. we took a photo and video of it too! last was the toss. 4 guys had to toss a girl straight up. haha me, pong, yunjie and jestyn practised with grace's shoe first and we threw the shoe in a projectile motion la. haha phoebe looks so worried. but after a while we suceeded in throwed the girl straight up and catching he back for our group la. the other group tried with the toss but after a while something happened la. the group couldn't grab the girl properly when she fell so she kinda knocked her head onto the ground. its very sad la. but lucky thing was that he fall was cushioned so she didn't suffer the full impact of the fall. but i heard she was hospitalised and going for an operation. sad thing. it was just a freak accident la. kind sad that cheer leading had to end with such a tone.
anyway next was a trip to snow city. oh man this is the first time i actually SAW a liquid gas la. its looks a lot like water. the demonstration on how cold liquid nitrogen actually was is cool la. he put in a flower in for like 10sec and he hit it on the table. the flower actually shattered. mans imagine a finger shattering. we went to play with the snow slide later too. it was darn cold. its freezing la. i go in for like 30mins and i feel my fingertips quite painful from the cold le. but the ride down was fun we went down as a class and there was lotsa screaming here and there throughout the city. not to metion snow fights between the guys and the girls. i think nuanting and andy came out the worst of both sides.
after that me, jx, kh and jestyn ran all the way to jurong east where we went to buy some pa camp stuff and also to collect flowers. then we shared cab back to school for pa camp and choir concert. wah i come back suddenly so many changes scare me to death. but at least i think the concert proceeded on quite smoothly except a few mistakes here and there. i like the song hey jude!!! my god that guy's voice is BEAUTIFUL la. haha why he never solo throughout the entire finale song.. after that we chop chop pack up and run to the camp.
pa camp ROCKS man. muahaha. we let them watch a nice scary movie and we played a murder game! i think it rocks la. some people believed that there was really a murder. hahaha and i'm the murderer. there was an accidental death and 2 intended deaths. but i hope the j1s enjoyed the game. now everyone knows that our school does not sell vanilla coke in the vending machine. it was supposed to be lights out for everyone but j2s went somewhere else to play. i shall not disclose this part since i dun think it should be known to everyone hehe =) slept for like 45mins before we had to trek out to beauty world there to have our breakfast. by the time i was there i was already half dead le. thanks to elton we had a save-the-xinming fund set up. i was darn hungry la. my last meal then was exactly 24hrs ago during the arts program. but i only ate 2 pratas. i dun think i will eat 4 even if i can take in like 5 or 6. its flour and flour and more flour leh. then the horrid truth. we have to trek back! my god by the time i reach school i was paralysed le. then somemore we played captains ball. at least my team won haha. played a few more games then we ended the camp.
my whole body is soooo suan, especially the legs. but i thoroughly enjoyed my enrichment week! i hope there's another time for us to enjoy and bond together. sigh but all good things have to come to an end. at least there are more concerts to look forward too. everyone seem to be very eager to use the LT5 lightings after they saw the choir concert haha.
